Deborah Peyton is the Owner and Lead Facilitator of Austin Rhythm & Drum
I heard the call of West African drumming nine years ago, after retiring as an Army Officer and spending years in corporate sales and business development. From that point on, my life has been transformed by the hand drumming instrument called “the djembe”.
My experience with the power of this instrument along with the connectivity created by group music making and drumming inspire my love and passion for drumming and facilitating. Now I drum at community drum circles, perform with local groups, and facilitate programs for groups, communities, organizations, and companies.
My mission for Austin Rhythm & Drum is to serve the community by sharing and creating uplifting and welcoming rhythm and drum circles and programs. My wish is that each individual and group will have their own transformational experience!
